Services
Good design – above all else – must be easy to interpret, use
and understand. Our sites and apps are characterized by an understanding
for people and their objectives.
We provide the following services to help launch successful sites and guide
the development of useful apps, at launch and moving forward as things grow
and change.
User needs definition
We use a variety of techniques to learn what people want to do on
your site and understand what they value. This knowledge leads all
other efforts. Typical activities include:
- Contextual inquiry
- Card sorts and interview sessions
- Stakeholder

Information architecture & content planning
Informed by user needs and tasks, we define how to provide what people
want to to know. We create a structure for presenting that information
and maintaining it as the site changes and grows.
- Site map verification/development
- Content inventory
creation
- Wireframe
page diagrams
- Prototype development & testing

Visual and interface design
Our “do no harm” approach to designing the appearance
of a site or application is to select colors, type styles, imagery
and other graphics based on what will enhance comprehension of the
content and help people accomplish tasks.

Usability testing
Remote or in-person, we investigate how people interpret a site – if
they can use the features, find their way around, understand the offerings, and find the site appealing. We provide short- and long-term recommendations
for quick, tactical improvements and roadmap goals.
- Test protocols
- Prototype development (paper, HTML,
visual/conceptual)
- In-person and remote testing
